We are
a small Alpine Trek/Climb/Walk company that focuses on select groups or a single adventurer that share the passion of being among beautiful mountains and breathtaking exposures that Europe and beyond has to offer. We offer authentic, personal mountain experiences mostly in the Italian and Swiss Alps covering the Monte Rosa area of Italy and the Bernese Alps of Switzerland.
I can organise small groups or if you prefer just on your own with me, Peter Salmon. I am a professional sportsman who relishes in the elements, so rain or shine, you will be looked after on your holiday. Single bespoke trips are increasingly popular, and if you are happy just rambling along at a pace that suites you, that's fine. Whatever your age, personal ability and fitness level, that's fine also. For serenity rest stops don't forget your yoga mat. Remember, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramas at high altitudes and not so high altitudes.
I myself have lived in and extensively trekked and climbed these beautiful areas and they're here waiting for you to share and enjoy with either myself or in a small group accompanied by Professional IFMGA mountain guides. The holiday is about you. So enjoy !!

THE ITALIAN TRIP ITINERARY
at our CENTRE VILLAGE HOTEL
This trip is appealing to a variety of people having different levels of abilities, from leisurely long or short walks round the alpine meadows of Alagna .All to the sound of cowbells and the peaceful ambience of 'Col de Olen' and 'Passo Salati',and then if and only if your energy allows we go further up to the Punta Indren where the rare Italian Stembechi deer roam. abundant with wild alpine flowers and the odd Marmot popping up to say hello. For the more adventurist and able,you can go from the Indren glacier accompanied by our IFMGA guide across a steady rising traverse and a short easy climb (fixed ropes in places)to the Mantova hut where we eat well,rest,and acclimatise overnight or continue higher to the Gnifetti hut ,after a early morning start and a good breakfast we prepare for our summit attempt to one of our 4000mtr peaks before descending to a well earned drink and photo swapping in our pretty Alagna village.
Departing from most UK airports, the airport closest to the Italian Alps is Milan Malpensa, and here at arrivals awaiting you will be myself Peter .Our scheduled mini bus then transfers us and luggage to a high Alpine picturesque walser village called Alagna. From here your escape to the Mountains begin with Mountaineering UK .Keep safe and enjoy !!
Please note that those not wishing to stay at the hotel, then there is a fabulous campsite 5 min walk from our trek start point, I've camped there numerous times and the facilities are just wonderful, hot modern showers, quiet and well run and a great practical base. THE SWITZERLAND TRIP ITINERARY
at our LUXURY 4 STAR WELLNESS SPA HOTEL
Lots of options here as this trip suites the person who loves walking as we can start from grindelwald to Kleine scheidegg, or, if a shorter walk is prefered we could take the cog train and start our walk from kleine scheidegg back to Grindelwald along the foot of the north face on the well trodden eiger trail, walking in the footsteps of many famous and historical ascent starting route points of passed and present alpinists atempting the most famous mountain climbing route in the world,The North Face of the Eiger. Walking where history, tragedy, and triumph ended and began.A beautiful stop halfway along the eiger trail is Alpiglen where you could have lunch or even stay the night for a early start to begin a climb up the 'Rotstock Via Ferrata'(grade VF 1A Mid) where half way up it you get an amazing view of the daunting North face.If you wish to cut short the approach we would take the cog train to Eigergletcher and if staying aboard you would continue through the mountain then stopping at the very popular Gallery window to gaze down the yawning North face before going right to the top of the neighbouring 'Monch' and ultimately the highest station in Europe, the 'Jungfraujoch' .
GETTING THERE
Departing from nearly all UK airports the most convenient Swiss airport is Zurich where we take a train along the scenic route to Interlaken Bern and onwards to our Grindelwald hotel, the cog train (there are no roads to this part) in Kleine scheidegg.The train jouney is well worth the sights.
Please note, those not wishing to stay at the hotel , there is also a good campsite which I can recommend 'The Eigernordwand' who also have very good modern facilities and fantastic views of the Eiger Northface, even at nightfall where the only light you'll see will be from the 'Stollenloch window' high up the northface.
